Our club is involved in numerous activities during the year just like all active bonsai clubs. We have our annual show, participate in two Home and Garden shows, enter the annual Strolling Flower Show, do demonstrations for various groups around town, go on various field trips, and have traveling speakers from both inside and outside the state. In 2003, we hosted the Bonsai Societies of Florida State Convention. In other words, we stay very busy throughout the year.

Pedro did a very nice Buttonwood styling and I agree with one of our newer member who said” the tree would also look good with leaves”. Most definetly..
The slide show was a treat. Great to see global changes and adjustments in bonsai and how it may affect our own thinking next time we plan a tree. The penjings were funny and I thought about someting I might try next time I am showing a tree. Kinda like “telling a story”…;)

I thought the tutorial of 6/18/10 was very good with emphasis on creating the illusion of age in our bonsai trees. Greg Lignelli
